Wedding DJ Humor: DJ Obama

Most of you may only know President Barack Obama as the elected official he is. But, what you may not know is that he's a pretty epic DJ, some say he used to tour with The Roots, though that couldn't be verified. Here's a pic of the prez in action, you decide:

As DJs, microphone checks (and sound checks) are just another part of the job. We all do it differently, but everybody seems to have a go-to, dj or not, when doing a sound check, and the following graphic about one of December's most popular dates (12/12/12) spells it out for ya.

Wedding DJ Humor: Black Eyed Peas

The Onion is pretty damn funny (as we all know). This time they've pointed their wit guns at wedding DJs and, I'll admit, it's pretty funny.

Unfortunately, too many bad and cheesy wedding DJs have given our industry a less than stellar reputation in some people's eyes, suggesting all we do is put on our radio announcer voices and push play on a playlist. All real DJs will know that is far from the truth.

Nonetheless, the stigma persists and as such, The Onion picks on the wedding DJs that do suck and pins a Black Eyed Peas joke on them. Pretty damn funny.
